Mondaze is a project collaboration created to promote the reuse of found home items to take a step towards a sustainable life. For this project I wanted to design a brand that feels nostalgic as well as contemporary.
Designed in 2021, the logo was inspired by retro-contemporary 1970s living rooms. The 'M' is prominent yet playful. It mimics the fluid and colorful striped designs found on fabric, furniture, and art from or inspired by the 1970s shag carpet era. This logo would play well on merch as a wider pattern, or buttons and pins as a circular design.
I decided to shoot the found objects on paper backgrounds mimicking the logo design to make the Instagram grid more appealing as a collective. It was also an opportunity to choose colors that compliment each item.
Props were used to show the consumer unique uses for items and add interest to the images, telling a story about the found items.
The live portfolio can be found here.
